Wei Lu welcomes Italian guests ADRIANO DE SANTIS and his delegation

March 28, ADRIANO DE SANTIS, President of The Italian National Film Academy, and his delegation visited CUZ. CUZ Vice President Wei Lu and Vice President Yao Zheng met with the guests, accompanied by the relevant Heads of CUZ International Office, Huace Film Academy and The School of Television Arts.


Wei Lu welcomed the arrival of ADRIANO DE SANTIS and his delegation and briefly introduced the CUZ's schooling characteristics and construction and development. He said that as a media university with distinctive features, CUZ adheres to the ardent hope of President Xi Jinping for the university to "keep up with the times and highlight its characteristics", and grasps the current development trend of science and technology, industry and culture, and plays a unique role in talent cultivation, scientific research, social service and cultural dissemination. CUZ attaches importance to the cooperation with overseas excellent universities, and looks forward to the strategic cooperation with the National Film Academy of Italy, which will bear fruitful results.

ADRIANO DE SANTIS briefly introduced the overview of the Italian National Film Academy. He said, the Italian National Film Academy and CUZ are members of the International Federation of Film and Television Colleges and Universities (CILECT), there are many potentials and space for cooperation, looking forward to the exchange of teachers and students of the two schools and the development of substantive cooperation. Vice President Yao Zheng also met with ADRIANO DE SANTIS and his entourage, and said that both sides are members of CILECT, and both sides should make full use of this international platform to cooperate and strengthen exchanges in the exchange of teachers and students, workshops and master classes, and co-creating film and television cultural works, so as to jointly promote the humanistic exchanges between China and foreign countries.

The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Communication University of Zhejiang and the National Film Academy of Italy. After the meeting, ADRIANO DE SANTIS and his entourage visited the School History Museum, China Radio and Television Art Materials Research Center and 4K Comprehensive Laboratory of E-sports, had a discussion and exchange with teachers and students of Huace Film Academy, and gave a special lecture on "The Art of Acting & The Work of Directing: From Conception to Execution".


The Italian National Film Academy was founded in 1935, located in Rome, the capital of Italy, and is an early film school in Europe. It was initially funded by the Italian government and belongs to the Italian Film Experimental Centre together with the Italian National Film Archive. School specialties include animated films, acting, directing, scriptwriting, scene props and costume design, photography, sound engineering, editing, advertising and commercial films and audiovisual report literature.
