Supported by China Center for International People-to-People Exchange Ministry of Education, edited by CUZ President Professor Xu Xiaozhou, created by CUZ teachers and students of the School of Animation and Digital Arts, and published by Zhejiang Education Press, the public welfare comic book The Defense of Life - COVID-19 Prevention and Control comic book (Chinese English bilingual version) is now officially published.
The Chinese and English bilingual version of "The Defense of Life - COVID-19 Prevention and Control Cartoon Book" is a public welfare project jointly carried out by China Center for International People-to-People Exchange Ministry of Education and CUZ. It is intended to jointly commit Chinese and foreign people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation and contribute to the world's fight against the "epidemic" of COVID-19. A total of 10000 copies of the anti-epidemic cartoon were printed, not for sale, but donated to foreign teachers and students in schools for children of foreigners in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Tianjin, Hangzhou and other cities and places, as well as in some universities in the experimental area of Chinese foreign cultural exchange and education.
The content of the cartoon is presented in both Chinese and English. According to the epidemic prevention manual officially issued by UNESCO, the range covers the source of transmission, transmission routes, symptoms, diagnosis methods and various preventive measures of COVID-19, which has widely spread epidemic prevention knowledge to the international community. Through lively art form, anti-epidemic cartoon organically combines knowledge with interest, improves attraction and dissemination, helps to promote the concept of people-to-people exchanges, and helps to enhance the school's international level and international influence.
The publication and distribution of the Chinese and English bilingual versions of the anti-epidemic cartoon will help demonstrate China's anti-epidemic experience to the international community, promote the telling of Chinese stories, spread the Chinese voice, and let the world better understand China.
