CUZ Liang Jiaqi, Ma Jiaqi, Zhang Yaxuan in product design and costume design students Li Huang, Wu Xiaoqian, emerged from 52 countries 3100 entries, won two gold, two silver and one bronze MEDALS in the IDA international design award.

IDA International Design Award is one of the most authoritative International Design awards in the United States, which was founded in California in 2007. Its leading design is sustainable, scientific and intelligent, which is known as the "weathervane" of the world's well-known design awards. IDA awards cover five categories: architectural design, interior design, product design, fashion design and graphic design. The IDA international design awards recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design dreamers and uncover emerging talent in architecture, interior, product, visual and fashion design.

The criteria for the IDA international design awards are stringent, with high requirements for design, creativity, usability and innovation. In recent years, the number of Chinese entries has been increasing year by year, but the number of winning awards is still very few. In the 12th IDA competition, the students of CUZ won the first round.

Under the guidance of Ye Feng, a course teacher from the School of Design and art, "AITA" by Liang Jiaqi and Ma Jiaqi won the only gold and silver awards of animal and plant design, and the only winning works from China. "KALE CUTTERS" by Zhang Yaxuan and Liang Jiaqi won the only gold award in the preschool education category and the bronze award in the children's products category. "POSTBAG," by Liang Jiaqi, Ma Jiaqi, Li Huanghuang and Wu Xiaoqian, won the silver medal in the category of sustainable design, also the only winning work from China.

The five winners said it was not only a great surprise, but also a great honor to win this year's IDA award. "Thanks to the School of Design and Art, thanks to the teachers who have taught and helped us, especially thanks to Mr.Ye Feng for his rigorous and careful professional guidance, which has helped us broaden our vision and let us have the courage to explore design concepts in different fields. We will continue to carry forward this spirit of exploration and design more products beneficial to life, society and nature. These awards can inspire us to face up to the challenges in the future. "No pains, no gains. The more efforts, the more gains. More students are encouraged to step onto the international stage, change the world, create the future together with previous excellent works, and shoulder the responsibility of rejuvenating China through design.
