On the morning of January 19, 2019, the 3rd Congress of CUZ of the Communist Party of China opened solemnly in Xiasha Campus.

Centring on publicizing and carrying out the spirit of the CPC’s 19th National Congress, CUZ leaders, Yang Liping, Xuang Yufang, Tang Zhaowu, Ke Li, Zhan Chengda, Yang Rongyao, Yao Zheng, Zhang Liang, Yang Linshu, Ye Mengdi, walked to its schools and colleges to assist their staff in understanding the spirit of the Congress.

Yang Liping, the Party Secretary, pointed out that the major political task at present and in the near future is to study and carry out the spirit of the CPC’s 19th National Congress, that the leaders at all levels of the university should firmly implant in mind the awareness, urgency and determination of teaching and carrying out the spirit, that they should set an example to the staff and the students in illustrating and carrying out the spirit, and that a new studying boom on the spirit will be stared, so that we can unify the thoughts of the teachers and students to concentrate undivided attention on the development of the university. 

Yang gave talks on the spirit of the CPC’s 19th National Congress at the enlarged Party committee meeting of CUZ, to the training class of young teachers of ideological and political course and to the students from broadcasting and anchoring arts successively. She also attended the The Party’s Theme Day of the Party branch of the university administration office. She requested that all the teachers and students should read through the Report of the CPC’s 19th National Congress in original to group the spirit of the Report comprehensively, understand well President Xi’s thoughts about how to build and perfect the socialism with Chinese characteristics, fully realize its historic contributions to the country in politics, ideology, systems, theories and strategies, deeply comprehend the basis on which the theory of the socialism of the new era with Chinese characteristics was put forward and its profound significance and historic functions, fully understand the historic achievements and changes that have taken place in the work of the construction of  the Party building, the development of the economy, deepening of reform, managing of the nation by law, ideology, the building of the army and culture, further study the new requirements put forth at the CPC’s 19th National Congress concerning cultural and educational cause as well as the construction of the Party. She called on the teachers and students to strengthen“the Four Awareness”, and try to be consistent in thoughts with The CPC Central Committee with Xi Jinping as the core and uphold the core, support the core and follow the core. She asked the teachers and students to study and understand the spirit of the important talk on the spirit of the CPC’s 19th National Congress by Che Jun, Party Secretary of Zhejiang province and have a further study of the requirements put forward by Ren Zhenhe, who is the provincial minister of organization and member of the standing committee of Zhejiang Province, and have a further study of the requirements put forward by Ren Zhenhe, who is the provincial minister of organization and member of the standing committee of Zhejiang Province, and make every effort to carry them out. She appealed to the teachers and students to manage the university successfully by sticking to socialism and uniting the passion motivated by the new era in order to shoulder the mission of developing the university. 

While inspecting the Academy of Broadcast Announcing and Anchoring Arts, Yang stressed that the academy should study and carry out the spirit of the CPC’s 19th National Congress according to the characteristics of the academy, and strengthen the construction of the Party and manage the Party strictly under the guidance of the spirit. She also emphasized that the academy should sincerely hold the belief of following the socialist road, spread positive socialist ideology and foster excellent media talents with good political quality, noble character and strong competitiveness.
