On 18 November, a delegation led by Vice President Imre Hamar of Eötvös Loránd University (Hungary) visited Communication University of Zhejiang. Secretary of the CPC CUZ Committee Wei Guotan and Vice President Chen Bing met with the guests separately. Heads of the the Development and Planning Office, Office of Undergraduate Education, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, as well as the School of Journalism and Communication, Huace School of Film, School of Broadcasting and Hosting Arts, School of Television and Audio-Visual Arts (School of Documentary), and the School of Literature attended the meetings.

Secretary Wei Guotan extended a warm welcome to Vice President Imre Hamar and his delegation. He recalled his visit to Eötvös Loránd University in July and shared his deep impression of the vigorous momentum in educational and cultural exchanges between China and Hungary. As a prestigious Hungarian university, Eötvös Loránd University boasts an impressive educational philosophy and outstanding academic achievements. Wei expressed the hope that, taking Vice President Hao’s return visit as a new starting point, the two universities will promote cooperation to a deeper and broader level, and jointly open a new chapter in China–Hungary higher education collaboration.

CUZ Vice President Chen Bing gave a detailed introduction to CUZ’s characteristics in media education and strengths in practice-based teaching. He pointed out that the two universities are highly compatible in the fields of humanities and social sciences and therefore share broad prospects for cooperation. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further advance substantive collaboration in joint talent cultivation, academic resource sharing, and collaborative artistic creation, continuously building bridges for educational and cultural exchanges between China and Hungary.

Vice President Imre Hamar expressed sincere appreciation for the warm reception. She fully affirmed CUZ’s innovative practices in media talent training and conveyed her strong willingness to deepen cooperation in areas such as co-developing interdisciplinary courses and joint media art creation.
The two sides also held in-depth discussions on key issues including the feasibility and implementation pathways of Sino-foreign cooperative education programmes, complementary disciplinary strengths, and mechanisms for resource sharing and synergy. Consensus was reached on multiple aspects, laying a solid foundation for the steady advancement of follow-up cooperation.

During her visit, Vice President Imre Hamar also delivered a lecture to faculty and students of the School of Broadcasting and Hosting Arts, entitled “A Journey to Seek the Sound of Chinese along the Danube: A Living History of Cross-cultural Communication.” She engaged in lively discussions with student and faculty representatives following the lecture.
