Vice President Chen Bing Meets with President Aphicha Insuwan of Payap University, Thailand

On the afternoon of October 30, President Aphicha Insuwan of Payap University, Thailand, visited CUZ. CUZ Vice President Chen Bing met with the delegation, and the two sides held in-depth discussions on matters related to promoting China–Thailand exchanges in the humanities and the arts. Heads and representatives from the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, the School of Broadcasting and Hosting Arts, the School of Music and Dance, and the School of International Education attended the meeting.

Vice President Chen Bing extended a warm welcome to President Aphicha Insuwan and provided a detailed overview of our university’s history, disciplinary features, international cooperation, and recent achievements in talent cultivation. He noted that Payap University of Thailand has a long academic tradition and that its philosophy in talent development and international cooperation aligns closely with that of our university. Chen expressed the hope that the two institutions would carry out practical cooperation in areas such as faculty and student exchanges, scientific and technological collaboration, and contribute further to China–Thailand friendship and cultural integration.

President Aphicha Insuwan expressed his appreciation for our university’s warm reception. He introduced the basic profile of Payap University and conveyed his willingness to establish a stable and long-term partnership with our institution. He also expressed the hope that future cooperation could be strengthened through faculty and student exchanges, study programs, cultural exchange activities, and other initiatives, thereby elevating collaboration between the two universities to a new level.

During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on student exchange programs of various durations, summer schools, international student recruitment and training, joint master's and doctoral programs, and the co-hosting of cultural and artistic performances.

Following the meeting, President Aphicha Insuwan and his delegation visited our university’s 4K E-sports Integrated Laboratory and the University History Museum, gaining a deeper understanding of our most recent achievements in media-related teaching and practice.

Payap University is the first private higher education institution in Thailand. Located in Chiang Mai—known as the “Rose of Northern Thailand” and the country’s second-largest city—the university offers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs. It comprises the College of Music, the International College, the College of Business Administration, and the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, and maintains strong collaborative ties with many renowned universities around the world.
