On October 17, a six-member delegation led by Professor Kim Hoonho from Sunchon National University, Sejong University, and Dongguk University in South Korea visited Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ). Vice President Yao Zheng met with the guests, and the two sides held in-depth discussions on joint doctoral training, collaborative research, and dual-degree master’s programmes. Representatives from CUZ’s Office of International Exchange and Cooperation Division and the School of Chinese Language and Literature also attended the meeting.

Vice President Yao Zheng extended a warm welcome to the Korean delegation. He reviewed the positive progress achieved in recent years in academic exchanges and cultural research between Chinese and Korean universities. Yao emphasised that CUZ attaches great importance to its partnership with Korean higher-education institutions and hopes to take this visit as an opportunity to further advance pragmatic cooperation in joint talent cultivation, curriculum co-development, and academic collaboration.

The Korean university delegation highly commended CUZ’s distinctive educational philosophy and nurturing environment. They expressed hope that this visit would serve as a new starting point to promote mutual exchange between faculty and students, strengthen research collaboration and cultural dialogue, and explore innovative models of China-Korea cooperation. The delegation added that by working hand in hand, both sides can foster deeper people-to-people understanding and inject fresh vitality into the internationalisation of higher education in both countries.
