On June 25, Giulio Guidi, President of the Pantheon Institute of Design and Technology in Italy, visited Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ). CUZ Party Secretary Wei Guotan and Vice President Yao Zheng held separate meetings with President Giulio Guidi and his delegation, accompanied by the head of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs).

Wei Guotan warmly welcomed President Giulio Guidi and briefly introduced the university’s disciplinary strengths, talent cultivation achievements, and progress in international education in recent years. He emphasized the importance of tapping into the potential for collaboration between the two institutions and broadening areas of cooperation based on the existing foundation. “Civilizations shine through exchange,” Wei noted, expressing confidence that, through joint efforts, cultural exchange between China and Italy will continue to deepen and the friendship between the two institutions will grow stronger.

President Giulio Guidi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and introduced the Pantheon Institute’s background, academic features, and its influence in the international field of art and design. He pointed out the high compatibility between the two universities in the field of art and design and envisioned promising prospects for cooperation. He hoped to strengthen future collaboration in faculty and student exchanges, academic research, and talent development.
The two sides also held in-depth discussions on cooperation related to the Silk Road Academy. Both leaders agreed that the establishment of the Academy aims to promote educational and cultural exchange and cooperation between China and Italy, nurture outstanding talents with global vision and innovative capabilities, and build a high-impact international cooperation platform.

Before the meeting, the guests visited the university’s History Museum and the 4K E-Sports Integrated Laboratory.
