On 3 November 2019, the Class of 2019 Graduation Ceremony of Master's Degree in visual communications
jointly run by Communication University of Zhejiang (CUZ) and University of Bolton was held in Hangzhou.
Yang Liping, Secretary of the CPC Committee of CUZ, Zhang Liang, Vice President of CUZ, the University of
Bolton’s current Chancellor George Philip Nicholas Windsor, Earl of St Andrews and its Head of the School of
Arts Sam Johnson, as well as the heads, teachers and studentds of CUZ’s relevant schools and functional
departments participated in the ceremony.
With the approval of the Ministry of Education China in September 2017, CUZ and the University of Bolton
UK started their cooperation to recruit students for the master's degree in visual communications. CUZ and
University of Bolton jointly hold the master's degree education project of visualcommunications, which
provides a high-level and international education platform for news media practitioners and those who are
willing to engage in the industry. The project has designed a scientific curriculum system and paid attention
to practical teaching, aimed at cultivating senior media talents with international vision and mastering the
ability of all-media communications.
This year, the project has welcomed its 1st class of graduates of master in visualcoomunications, and
the school’s international cooperative education programmes have yielded fruitful results. The two sides
work together to create a talent training program and press home their advantage of the project with an
international learning environment, first-class Chinese and foreign scholars and industry experts to teach
together, and fully introduce foreign high-quality education resources. At present, the project is still in
progress, contributing to the cultivation of senior media talents.
