Recently, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) was held in Russia’s historic and culturally rich city of St. Petersburg. As a prominent international platform bringing together leading figures from politics, business, academia, and research, this year’s forum attracted global attention. Yang Ji, faculty member from the School of Cultural Industry and Management at CUZ, was specially invited by the forum’s organizing committee to attend the event as a guest speaker and share insights on key industry topics.

At the sub-forum themed "Strategies for Audiovisual Content Going Global and International Cooperation," Yang Ji offered an in-depth analysis of the current global audiovisual content landscape and its emerging opportunities. Drawing on China’s recent practices and achievements in global content outreach, Yang shared valuable strategic reflections and practical experiences. He explored how to effectively leverage digital platforms, technological innovation, and cross-cultural integration to enhance the global distribution and commercial potential of high-quality audiovisual content. Yang also proposed constructive recommendations for deepening collaboration among China, Russia, and BRICS nations in this field.
During the panel discussion on "Fostering Future Leadership in the Creative Industries," Yang emphasized the multifaceted approach needed to cultivate next-generation creative leaders. He addressed the importance of educational reform, interdisciplinary integration, hands-on training, and the development of a global mindset. Yang introduced our university’s distinctive model of talent cultivation, highlighting its pedagogical philosophies and practical training outcomes—demonstrating China’s proactive engagement in creative education.

In the interactive session, Yang engaged with the moderator and audience on pressing issues such as AI-driven creative production and international co-education for talent development. His responses contributed a forward-looking perspective to the forum and sparked vibrant dialogue. Additionally, Yang was interviewed by major Russian media outlets including Russia Today and Sputnik News Agency, further amplifying the international visibility of our institution.
