Recently, a delegation led by Zhou Xiaoyan, the Chairman of Milan Huaxia Group, Italy, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Istituto Pantheon Design & Technology, Fan Xianwei, Senior Advisor, Chen Hao, General Director of the Chinese Academy (preparatory), Liu Yudan, Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of Directors for China Affairs, and Zhou Xiong, Chinese Director of Milan Huaxia Group, visited CUZ. CUZ President Xu Xiaozhou and Vice President Yao Zheng met with the guests respectively.

Xu Xiaozhou first extended a warm welcome to Zhou Xiaoyan and her delegation. He pointed out that art and media are CUZ's core majors, and Italy is a very important partner in European countries. It is hoped that the two sides can jointly build a multi-level cooperation platform starting from the degree project, and strengthen the exchange between teachers and students of the two schools, especially the cooperation in the construction of the CUZ Campus in Milan, Italy. We should make great efforts to promote cooperation so that students majoring in clothing, design, film, animation and communication in our school can have more opportunities to exchange and study in Italy.

Vice President Yao Zheng said that the two universities can take advantage of their own resource advantages, give play to their professional expertise, carry out Sino foreign cooperative education projects at the undergraduate and master levels, cultivate Italian undergraduates and Chinese postgraduates, and cooperate in scientific research, people to people exchanges, teacher and student visits and other projects.

Zhou Xiaoyan introduced in detail the basic situation, professional characteristics and advantages of service-related industries of Istituto Pantheon Design & Technology. She said that Italy has a profound cultural heritage, and Istituto Pantheon Design & Technology has unique advantages in clothing, design and other aspects. She very much looked forward to strengthening cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.

Guo Guangchu, Director of CUZ International Office, introduced in detail the China foreign cooperation in running schools and the cooperation and exchange projects with foreign universities at different levels, and expressed specific intentions for the cooperation between the two sides. Hu Xiaoyang, Dean of the Institute of Design and Arts, introduced the school running situation of the Institute.

After discussion, the two sides decided to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation, start the application of the cooperative school running projects at the master's level in fashion design, and cooperate in carrying out overseas school running projects in Italy (Silk Road College). The two sides also reached a preliminary intention to cooperate in the development of overseas (Italy) teaching practice base for graduate students, teacher and student exchange projects, international conferences, joint achievement exhibitions, fashion weeks, co- construction of fashion design institutes, etc.
