On the evening of May 13, the first week-long academic week that CUZ cooperated with the University of Stirling UK officially closed. Vice President Yao Zheng and Vice president Neville Wylie of Stirling University attended the closing ceremony. The closing ceremony was presided over by Grace Wang, International Cooperation Officer of the School of Arts and Humanities of Stirling University.
Around the academic circle, the topics of the digital media era were discussed, including publishing in the digital age, digital narrative in news photography, publishing learning skills and other courses.
Vice President Yao Zheng delivered the closing speech. He pointed out that this academic week is of great significance for CUZ students to experience the teaching mode of Stirling University, enhance the consensus of the two universities and stimulate students' cross-cultural understanding. Rational use of international educational resources, unremitting exploration of high-level development, and training of outstanding talents are the goals of Chinese and foreign universities, and also the basis for forming a consensus between CUZ and Stirling University. At present, the deep-seated impact of the spread of COVID-19 on university cooperation has not been eliminated, and the international education mode is undergoing profound adjustment and reform. This online teaching week activity of the two universities is of great significance to promoting practical cooperation and deepening the strategic cooperation between the two universities. I believe it will better benefit teachers and students of the two universities and make greater contributions to cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and the UK.
