On the morning of September 8, CUZ welcomed Gert Johannes Grobler, ex-diplomat at the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation. CUZ President Xu Xiaozhou met with the guests. Mr. Grobler once served as South African ambassador to Madagascar, Japan, Spain and other countries. He has rich diplomatic experience. At present, he is a senior researcher in the African Research Institute of Zhejiang Normal University.
During the talks, Xu Xiaozhou introduced the running characteristics and the development of educational internationalization of CUZ, emphatically introduced the cooperation achievements between CUZ and African countries, and expressed his wishes to further deepen cooperation with South African universities in education, scientific research and other fields. Mr. Grobler explained that China and South Africa have close cooperative relations in the fields of economy, culture, education and epidemic prevention. South Africa attaches great importance to exchanges with China and hopes to have the opportunity to develop cooperation between universities of the two countries.
