On the morning of September 28, Consul General Stephen Wong, Consulate-General of New Zealand in Shanghai, and his delegation, paid a visit to CUZ. Vice President Yao Zheng and the heads of CUZ International Office, the Shcool of Culture and Communication attended the seminar.
Yao Zheng first extended a warm welcome to Consul General Stephen Wong and his delegation and briefly introduced the University. He said, the school attaches great importance to the cooperation with New Zealand universities, especially with Victoria University of Wellington, exchange program and the communication between teachers and students. In recent years, the two schools have made very fruitful results in running schools. He hoped to the future with the support of the consul general, CUZ can continue to expand with New Zealand in many areas such as culture, media and education and in the field of exchange and cooperation, and the two sides can jointly explore new cooperation patterns, to make greater contribution to the development of China-New Zealand friendship.
Stephen Wong introduced the Consulate General of New Zealand in Shanghai. He said that China and New Zealand enjoy profound friendship and frequent economic and trade exchanges as well as cultural and educational exchanges. He hopes that CUZ and Victoria University of Wellington could strengthen communication and enhance mutual understanding and carry out more activities to enrich the cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
