The 2021 "Chinese Bridge" – CUZ Free Online "Colourful Culture" Camp closing ceremony, sponsored by the Chinese Language Exchange and Cooperation Centre of the Ministry of Education and organised by CUZ was simultaneously held on the ChinesePlus platform and the Online Camp WeChat group. More than 260 campers and lecturers from 24 countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, the United States, Portugal, and Australia participated in this event, bringing the cultural project to a successful conclusion.

Xu Xiaozhou, President of CUZ, Zhou Songyi, Vice Chairperson and secretary-general of the Zhejiang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Zhao Jiahui, Director of the cultural exchange and information communication department, Zhang Jianwei, director of the cultural exchange office of Zhejiang Chinese Culture Institute, and the Head of CUZ International Office, the Head of the School of International Cultural Communication (International Education Institute) and other relevant school leaders attended the ceremony which was presided over by Professor Shao Youxue, the project leader of the experience camp.

 

 

Xu Xiaozhou says in his speech that the free online culture camp is a colourful and rich cultural journey, which plays an important role in learning Chinese traditional culture and feeling the charm of Chinese culture. The teachers have carefully prepared the teaching content, and the content is positive and meaningful. Campers and their parents learned together, experienced Chinese culture together, deepened their understanding of Chinese language and Chinese civilization, and became the beginning of youths from all over the world to learn and understand Chinese traditional culture, which inspires everyone to verify and communicate with different civilizations in the world. He hopes that the campers will continue to deepen their understanding of the cultures and civilizations of various countries in the future, and jointly promote the progress of mankind through cultural exchanges and mutual learning.

Professor Shao Youxue briefly summarized the development of the online experience camp activities. He said that the course content of the experience camp is high-quality and the teacher team is excellent. Among the 12 courses, there are 11 national-level online first-class courses, and most of the teachers are backbone teachers with overseas study experience. The campers studied hard, experienced more than two months of various cultural experiences and exchanges, and gained a lot.

 

 

 

All the campers enjoyed the excellent works of the experience camp together. The “Coluorful Culture” online experience camp not only made foreign young people realize that Chinese excellent traditional culture is a brilliant flower in the history of world civilization, but also made positive contributions to telling Chinese stories and introducing Chinese culture to the outside world.
